Jeon Yoo-sung is currently admitted to a general hospital in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, with worsening symptoms of pneumothorax. Pneumothorax is a condition where air leaks into the pleural space due to a burst bubble in the lung, causing part of the lung to collapse. Jeon Yoo-sung has pneumothorax in both lungs, making spontaneous breathing difficult, and is using an oxygen respirator.

Reports on Jeon Yoo-sung's health condition are conflicting. On the 24th, The Fact reported that Jeon Yoo-sung is in critical condition to the extent of leaving a will to his only daughter. According to the report, the hospital said, "This week is a critical period," and a junior testified that Jeon Yoo-sung's consciousness is fluctuating. He is known as the first person to use the term "gagman" to describe comedians in public comedy stages. The hospital where Jeon Yoo-sung is admitted explained his health condition as "air is trapped in both lungs due to pneumothorax, making spontaneous breathing difficult." Another close associate emphasized, "It is true that his health is not good due to his old age, but the medical staff's statements are only explanations prepared for the worst-case scenario."
