Recently, Jo Se-ho shared memories of the time spent with Professor Jeon Yoo-sung on his SNS, expressing his gratitude. He began by saying, "I was so, so happy and thankful to be your junior and your student." He recalled that the professor's voice saying, "Se-ho, where are you? Sing a song for me," still lingers in his heart.
Especially during difficult and troubled times, the advice the professor gave him, "It's one of two things: either do it or don't... just do it," still echoes in his mind. Jo Se-ho revealed his longing, saying that the last words he heard from the professor, "Take care..." are still vivid in his ears.
He promised to forever cherish the time they spent together in his heart and prayed for the deceased's peace, saying, "Please rest comfortably in a peaceful place, our professor."
Professor Jeon Yoo-sung was a great star in the Korean comedy world who popularized the term "gagman" during the birth of broadcast comedy in the 1970s and 1980s. He also worked as a professor in the Comedy Department at Yewon Arts University, nurturing many junior comedians such as Jo Se-ho and Kim Shin-young. He recently passed away due to worsening pleural mesothelioma, receiving condolences from many juniors and colleagues.
Despite this sorrow, Jo Se-ho expressed his intention to quietly continue his path as a comedian, reflecting on the teachings left by his mentor.
