
The behind-the-scenes story of the King of Kings, Cho Yong-pil, will be broadcast. KBS has planned a three-part series on Cho Yong-pil to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day during Chuseok. The preview video for the first episode of the trilogy, "Cho Yong-pil, Forever This Moment - Prequel," was released on YouTube on the 26th.
The first episode is hosted by lyricist Kim Eana and Jannabi's Choi Jung-hoon and Kim Do-hyung. To highlight Cho Yong-pil's music and life from various angles, 12 people with close ties to him will appear. Music critic Lim Jin-mo vividly talks about the beginning of Cho Yong-pil's music career.
Cultural critic Kim Young-dae and big data researcher Kim Min-sung analyze Cho Yong-pil's musical world and his literary and cultural value through big data. They shed new light on Cho Yong-pil from a fresh perspective.
Son Beom-soo, the host of "Gayo Top Ten," the predecessor of "Music Bank," along with juniors who share a special bond with Cho Yong-pil—Park Jung-hyun, Jo Young-gu, Muzy, and Lee Soo-yeon—will present a special stage. They will hold a performance honoring Cho Yong-pil's musical legacy.
Cho Yong-pil's musician friends, guitarist Choi Hee-sun, bassist Song Hong-seop, and music producer Jang Ho-seo, will share untold behind-the-scenes stories about the musician Cho Yong-pil. Son Beom-soo says, "Cho Yong-pil held the number one spot on 'Gayo Top Ten' for an incredible 69 consecutive weeks." Lim Jin-mo adds, "Cho Yong-pil once drank 13 bomb shots in 30 minutes."
"Cho Yong-pil, Forever This Moment - Prequel" will air on October 3rd. Following that, the main performance "Cho Yong-pil, Forever This Moment" will be broadcast on the 6th, and "Cho Yong-pil, Forever This Moment - The Record of That Day" will air on the 8th. This three-part series aims to spotlight Cho Yong-pil's musical journey and deliver in-depth stories about his life and music.
