JTBC drama "A Hundred Memories" has entered its second act, promising a new youth narrative. Starring Kim Da-mi, Shin Ye-eun, and Heo Nam-joon, the drama has attracted viewers' attention by releasing a special poster set seven years later.
In the previous episode, the friendship between Go Young-rye (played by Kim Da-mi) and Seo Jong-hee (played by Shin Ye-eun) reached a major turning point. The strike caused by the accident involving fellow attendant Kwon Hae-ja (played by Lee Min-ji) ended successfully, and Hae-ja received medical treatment and compensation. However, Young-rye was suspected and pressured by Labor Manager Park Ji-hwan (played by Park Ji-hwan) for leading the strike. During this process, Young-rye had a fierce clash with the Labor Manager, and Jong-hee, who witnessed it, swung a fountain pen to protect Young-rye. Young-rye urgently urged Jong-hee to run away, and Jong-hee disappeared.
Jong-hee's disappearance also shocked Han Jae-pil (played by Heo Nam-joon). Realizing belatedly that Jong-hee had a crush on Young-rye, Jae-pil was distressed and chose to part ways with her. Afterwards, Jae-pil gave up boxing and focused on studying, but even after understanding Jong-hee's feelings, he experienced unfortunate mistiming.
Seven years later, Young-rye has grown into a hair designer. She reunites with Jae-pil at a beauty salon, where they exchange glances and smile brightly. The salon staff seem to believe that Jae-pil is Young-rye's boyfriend. This scene marks an important moment signaling the end of the first act and the beginning of the second.
The released special poster features the three characters seven years later. Against the backdrop of radiant sunlight and the blue sea, Young-rye, Jong-hee, and Jae-pil walk side by side, capturing a moment that still holds the light of youth. The phrase "Our story is not over yet" symbolizes that their connection continues.
The actors expressed their anticipation for the second act. Kim Da-mi said, "In the second act, you will see a stronger Young-rye. Please watch her choices closely." Shin Ye-eun said, "Jong-hee appears in a completely different way. The second act focuses on complex events and the emotions between characters." Heo Nam-joon said, "All three have become busy adults, but their awkwardness and shortcomings in love will be portrayed."
The production team explained, "Starting from the ending of episode 6, 'A Hundred Memories' has entered its second act. Young-rye, Jong-hee, and Jae-pil have left deep marks on each other through their choices. With Jong-hee's return, the youth story begins again."
"A Hundred Memories" airs every Saturday at 10:40 PM and Sunday at 10:30 PM on JTBC.
