Seventeen's special unit S.Coups X Mingyu's first mini-album 'HYPE VIBES' is receiving positive reviews from major overseas media. The British music magazine NME mentioned in a review on September 29 (local time) that the album is "unpredictable," analyzing that "while a strong hip-hop-centered style was expected, 'HYPE VIBES' attempts free changes and shows a new side."

The British pop culture magazine DAZED also compared the intense image of the 5th full album with the free-spirited atmosphere of 'HYPE VIBES,' evaluating that "S.Coups and Mingyu filled the album with various genres they love without being tied to anything." Foreign media unanimously agreed that their new release shows a new chemistry unique to the two.

The American music magazine Rolling Stone stated, "Seventeen's various unit groups show deeper synergy among members," explaining that "S.Coups and Mingyu have closely collaborated as members of Seventeen's hip-hop team, but this unit takes that relationship to the next level." Billboard Philippines also mentioned, "'HYPE VIBES' is the result of condensing a unique chemistry between the two, different from Seventeen."

The album contains a total of six tracks, including the title track "5, 4, 3 (Pretty woman) (feat. Lay Bankz)." Both members participated in writing and composing all the songs. The British CLASH described the new release as "an invitation to live in the moment, explore emotions, and share experiences," while Billboard Philippines praised it, saying, "Beyond their idol image, it shows the most sincere side of S.Coups and Mingyu."

'HYPE VIBES' sold over 600,000 copies on its first day, setting the highest first-week sales record for a K-pop unit album. The title track immediately ranked first on Bugs' real-time chart upon release, and all tracks entered Melon's 'Top 100.' S.Coups X Mingyu are actively continuing promotions to celebrate the album release.

On September 30, the two members appeared on the web variety show 'Hong Seok-cheon's Jewel Box Season 4,' showcasing their candid charm. They also released 'THE VIBERS #1 OUR STORY IN EVERY VIBE,' documenting their work process, on Seventeen's official YouTube channel. On October 2, they are scheduled to perform the new song for the first time on Mnet's 'M Countdown.'

Through active promotions following the album release, S.Coups X Mingyu are strengthening communication with fans, and various activities are anticipated in the future.
