Tomorrow X Together partners with UNICEF to support youth

The group TOMORROW X TOGETHER is partnering with UNICEF to launch a global campaign for the mental health of children and adolescents worldwide called "TOGETHER FOR TOMORROW." On the 30th of last month, they signed a partnership agreement with the UNICEF Headquarters and the Korean Committee at the UNICEF Headquarters in New York, USA. The signing ceremony was attended by Catherine Russell, UNICEF Executive Director; Kitty van der Heijden, UNICEF Deputy Executive Director; Jomijin, Secretary-General of the UNICEF Korean Committee; Kim Sang-jin, Deputy Ambassador of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the UN; and Yoo Dong-joo, Head of APAC at HYBE Music Group.

At the signing ceremony, TOMORROW X TOGETHER expressed the significance and aspirations of their partnership with UNICEF. Subin, who spoke as the representative, said, "For the past six years, we have talked about growth through music. We shared worries, fears, and hopes for tomorrow through music, and many people have told us that they found comfort in it. Through this, we learned that expressing emotions is a sign of strength." He continued, "Through the campaign with UNICEF, we want to create a space where children and adolescents worldwide can freely express their emotions."

UNICEF emphasized the meaning of the agreement by highlighting TOMORROW X TOGETHER's musical narrative and influence. Kitty van der Heijden, UNICEF Deputy Executive Director, explained, "TOMORROW X TOGETHER's music and voices have become a vital force in promoting the mental health of children worldwide. The empathy they convey helps children and adolescents recognize and express their emotions and feel connected to each other." Jomijin, Secretary-General of the UNICEF Korean Committee, stated, "TOMORROW X TOGETHER's global influence and the sincere voices of its members will remind children and adolescents worldwide of the importance of mental health."

On the same day, TOMORROW X TOGETHER met with 20 young leaders aged 14 to 24 from the UNICEF network to discuss various topics related to the campaign. They gained the participants' empathy through in-depth answers about the positive changes the campaign will bring and the impact of music on mental health. The "TOGETHER FOR TOMORROW" campaign was planned with the purpose of understanding each other without prejudice through empathy and creating a better tomorrow together. This aligns with the meaning of the group's name (TOMORROW X TOGETHER).

The campaign will officially begin next year, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER plans to carry out various online and offline activities, including fundraising for children. Over the next two years, they will donate approximately $1.4 million to the UNICEF Global Mental Health Fund in collaboration with their agency, Big Hit Music. The donations will be used to support those experiencing mental difficulties and will also be utilized for related program operations and research.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER has conveyed the values of empathy and solidarity by honestly singing about the inner anxieties, worries, and temptations faced by youth. Through their partnership with UNICEF, they plan to expand their role in offering comfort and courage to children and adolescents experiencing emotional difficulties. Their activities are expected to have a positive impact on the mental health of children and adolescents.
