[The Fact | Reporter Park Ji-woong] Actress Han So-hee has become embroiled in a political controversy after liking a social media post by Lee Jun-seok, leader of the New Reform Party. Her agency, however, cautioned against overinterpreting the incident, stating, "It was a mistake."
On the 6th, Lee posted a photo of a handwritten letter of apology on social media, stating, "After receiving a tip about a groundless rumor circulating about me following some obscene account, I checked and found that supporters of a certain politician were persistently spreading the rumor."
She emphasized, "When I announced legal action, one of the perpetrators sent me a handwritten letter of apology. While it's acceptable to criticize a politician's views or actions, I urge you not to risk your life attacking someone based on unconfirmed rumors."
As of 4 p.m. on the 7th, the post had over 10,000 likes. Actress Han So-hee's account was included among them, sparking controversy online.
Online communities were met with mixed reactions, ranging from "Did I misread this? This is surprising," to "We shouldn't overinterpret a simple mistake." Following the controversy, Han So-hee unliked the representative post.
Meanwhile, Han So-hee took legal action last year in response to malicious comments. At the time, her agency stated, "As a person, before being an actress, I'm experiencing a very difficult time mentally due to speculative posts and malicious comments. We will take strong action against any actions that tarnish and defame my reputation."
