BTS's "Spring Day" ranked 37th on Rolling Stone's list of the "250 Greatest Songs of the 21st Century." This announcement was made on October 8 (local time) through Rolling Stone's official website. "Spring Day" achieved the highest ranking among Korean artists.

Rolling Stone described "Spring Day" as conveying feelings of recovery and hope blossoming from loss, marking BTS's global breakthrough. The song is the title track of BTS's 2017 repackage album "YOU NEVER WALK ALONE," their second full-length album. It was the first song on the domestic music platform Melon to surpass 1 billion cumulative streams, gaining immense popularity.

The list also included songs from other K-pop artists besides BTS. BLACKPINK's "DDU-DU DDU-DU" ranked 142nd, with Rolling Stone explaining that the song "best represents the K-pop wave that swept the U.S. in the 2010s." Girls' Generation's "Gee" ranked 170th, and NewJeans' "Hype Boy" ranked 206th.

The number one spot on the list was taken by rapper Missy Elliott's "Get Ur Freak On." Second place went to Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Maps," third to Beyoncé's "Crazy in Love," fourth to The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army," and fifth to Taylor Swift's "All Too Well."

Rolling Stone stated about the list, "It includes globally popular hits as well as influential cult classics. The goal was to select songs that embody the chaotic glory of 21st-century music." They also explained that they tried to avoid selecting multiple songs by the same artist as much as possible.

BTS's "Spring Day" once again proved their musical achievements and contributed to strengthening K-pop's global influence. Such accomplishments play a crucial role in solidifying BTS's position in the global music market.
