Seventeen's special unit S.Coups X Mingyu's first mini album "HYPE VIBES" has received the Gold certification from the Japan Record Association. Pledis Entertainment announced this on the 10th. The album recorded shipments of over 100,000 copies on the day of its local release in Japan on September 30.

The Japan Record Association grants monthly certifications based on cumulative shipments, categorized as Gold (100,000 copies), Platinum (250,000 copies), and Double Platinum (500,000 copies). Following 18 group albums, Seventeen has consecutively received certifications for unit activities with Jeonghan X Wonwoo's first single "THIS MAN" and now "HYPE VIBES."

"HYPE VIBES" ranked number one on major charts such as Japan's Oricon Daily Album Ranking, Weekly Album Ranking, and Billboard Japan's Top Album Sales immediately after its release. Sales from the first week, between September 29 and October 5, reached 887,000 copies, marking the highest first-week sales for a K-pop unit album.

The title track "5, 4, 3" topped the download charts during the same period and also ranked first on the Circle Chart's weekly album chart. On the previous day, S.Coups X Mingyu released a live clip of the track "For you" on Seventeen's official YouTube channel. The video features the two members' natural chemistry and emotional vocals against the backdrop of Jeju Island's scenery, conveying the message that "anyone can be our friend."

"For you" entered Melon's Top 100 and the Worldwide iTunes Song charts on the day of release. Through this album, Seventeen is demonstrating a strong presence in the Japanese market and further expanding their global fanbase.
