Singer Lee Chan-won, empowered by the support of his fans, continues to donate to children with pediatric cancer. The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation announced on October 13 that the fans supporting Lee Chan-won donated 1 million KRW, the prize money won at the September King of the Month competition on 'Seonhan Star.' This donation will be used to support the medical expenses of children diagnosed with pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases.

'Seonhan Star' is a donation platform that encourages the positive influence of stars, where fans complete missions within the app and cheer, and prize money is donated according to rankings. Through this platform, Lee Chan-won has accumulated donations totaling 70.87 million KRW to date. The donated prize money is used for the medical expenses of children diagnosed with pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases.

The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation provides support ranging from a minimum of 5 million KRW to a maximum of 30 million KRW per patient, and Lee Chan-won has been supporting the foundation for five years. Hong Seung-yoon, director of the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation, said, "The positive influence of the singer and his fans is a great strength to the children," and added, "We are grateful to singer Lee Chan-won and his fans for consistently practicing warm sharing."

Lee Chan-won is scheduled to release his second full-length album, 'Chanran (燦爛),' on various music platforms at 6 p.m. on October 20. This album is his first new release in two years since his first full-length album of 2023, 'ONE.'
