The group CORTIS has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. CORTIS's debut album, "COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES," reached a cumulative 100 million streams as of October 12. This achievement was made in just over a month since the album's release, marking the shortest period for a K-pop rookie who debuted this year.
CORTIS's success is attributed to the popularity of the title track "What You Want" and the other songs included in the album. The album contains a total of six tracks, including "What You Want (feat. Teezo Touchdown)." Notably, "GO!" recorded 35.61 million streams, and "FaSHioN" reached 26.14 million streams. "What You Want" surpassed 17.03 million streams, and "JoyRide" exceeded 11.25 million streams, showing balanced popularity across the tracks.
The intro track "GO!" also showed an upward trend on domestic music charts. Even after the end of their debut promotions, the song performed well on the US Billboard charts and gained renewed attention after being featured in a promotional video for the Major League Baseball (MLB) postseason. As a result, it re-entered the Melon daily chart at No. 97 (October 4) and climbed to its highest position of No. 86 on the latest chart (October 12). The continuous rise on this chart draws attention to their future prospects.
CORTIS is expanding their overseas activities, receiving love calls from the US market. They are the first Korean artists to serve as "Honorary Falconers" for LAFC, the club where player Son Heung-min is affiliated. Additionally, they became the first K-pop artists to partner with the energy drink brand Red Bull and were invited to the "Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final" held in Los Angeles.
These achievements by CORTIS exemplify the global expansion of K-pop, and their music and activities are expected to become more widely recognized. CORTIS plans to continue engaging with fans both domestically and internationally through various activities. They will actively pursue endeavors not only in music but also in diverse fields.
