In the first round, Chun Beom-seok chose Jung Seung-hwan's "In Place," captivating even the original singer Jung Seung-hwan with his high-level piano performance and charming voice. Hong Seung-min sweetly sang Kang Su-ji's "Scattered Days," showcasing his traditional ballad singer qualities. Both contestants earned a spot in the "ear boyfriend" lineup.

In the second round, Chun Beom-seok selected Lim Young-woong's "Can We Meet?" while Hong Seung-min chose Sung Si-kyung's "Forever" for their face-off. Jun Hyun-moo admired one contestant's performance, saying, "This feels less like 'Our Ballad' and more like 'Our Star,'" and declared, "I'm going to become a fan."

This episode also previews a karaoke showdown between 16-year-old singer Jo Su-ah, known as the "queen of sweeping competitions," and Min Soo-hyun. Jo Su-ah chose Jo Soo-mi's "If I Go," while Min Soo-hyun selected Lim Chang-jung's "A Glass of Soju" for their battle. It is reported that this showdown marked the first time in the program's history that the general audience gave a standing ovation.

The youngest contestant, Lee Ha-yoon, impressed with a full performance of Yangpa's "Young Love" and will present izi's "Emergency Room," the OST from the drama "Brilliant Legacy," in the second round. Lee Ha-yoon is a fourth grader in elementary school and received an explosive response from the audience in the stage revealed at the end of last week's broadcast.

Sixteen-year-old Park Seo-jung, a skilled performer who danced with the Little Angels for seven years before switching to singing and entering an arts high school as the top student, will deliver a deeply emotional rendition of Park Joong-hoon's "Rain and You," the OST from the movie "Radio Star."

The second round will proceed with one-on-one matchups between contestants. They will choose from various keywords such as "first love," "breakup," and "OST" to present their ballad stages. The winner advances to the next round, and one contestant is eliminated. SBS's "Our Ballad," airing at 9 PM on October 14, offers a chance to experience the fresh voices of contestants with an average age of 18.2, nostalgic ballad stages, and the tension of survival competition all at once.
