Makoto and Utagokoro Rie, members of Trot Girls Japan, appeared on tvN's 'Kim Chang-ok Show 4' and shared their realistic concerns about marriage.
On the episode aired on the 14th, Makoto appeared with a story asking for advice on "whether it is better to marry a Korean man or a Japanese man." Utagokoro Rie, who appeared together, decorated the stage by performing 'Sonnet of the Clown' live on the spot.
Makoto revealed that she is fluent in Korean, spent her school years at a Korean school, and also attended university in Korea. Regarding her recent thoughts about marriage, she said, "Meeting Rie's family often made me think about married life and the kind of husband I want."
Kim Chang-ok empathized with Makoto, saying, "It must have been confusing whether you are Korean or Japanese," and Makoto honestly shared, "Although my nationality is Korean, when I say I am a Korean resident in Japan, many people perceive me as Japanese, which was confusing."
Kim Chang-ok advised, "I hope you meet someone who sees you as you are." In response, Makoto and Utagokoro Rie gave a moving duet performance as their final stage, passionately singing 'Snow Flower' in Korean and Japanese, respectively. Their harmony left a warm impression on the audience.
Makoto will meet fans by holding 'TROT GIRLS JAPAN RELAY LIVE #2' on the 25th.
