On the 16th, through a video titled "Study King Genius Hong Jin-kyung," she explained her four-month hiatus. She resumed content creation after four months following the "red dress" controversy during the presidential election in June. During this period, she ended her 22-year marriage in September and announced her divorce.

After announcing her divorce, Hong Jin-kyung said, "There were many articles related to the divorce announcement for three months, so I was almost overseas." She visited a traditional Korean medicine clinic specializing in eight constitutions and reported that her stress level was measured at 9.9 out of 10, expressing concern about her psychological state.

She also expressed apologies to the shampoo company that waited during her hiatus. Hong Jin-kyung said, "Unintentionally, I closed 'Genuine Genius' for over three months, so this company stopped. I was so sorry that I promised to definitely open on the day of reopening." This statement shows her sense of responsibility toward content creation.

Despite the divorce, Hong Jin-kyung shared bright news about her daughter, Lael. She said, "Lael is polite," and received praise from the staff, humorously talking about her daughter's behavior. She added, "She wears black false eyelashes," which brought laughter.

After the hiatus, Hong Jin-kyung showed emotional changes. She shed tears while reading the poem "Fig Forest" by poet Hwang In-chan.
