[The Fact | Reporter Choi Hyun-jung] Group TWS broke their own record for album sales in the first week of its release.
According to Hanteo Chart, a music sales tracker, TWS's fourth mini-album "Play Hard" sold 639,787 copies in its first week (October 13-19). This figure surpasses the sales of their previous album, "TRY WITH US," which sold 558,720 copies, by over 80,000 copies.
The title track of "Play Hard," "OVERDRIVE," combines TWS signature refreshing sound with a powerful performance. Immediately after its release, the song topped the Bugs real-time chart and entered major domestic music charts.
Furthermore, "OVERDRIVE" topped Japan's Line Music Daily "K-Pop Top 100" chart for four consecutive days, and its music video also ranked high on YouTube Korea's "Top Rising Music Videos" and "Weekly Popular Music Videos" charts.
Furthermore, "OVERDRIVE" is gaining significant popularity on short-form media, reaching number 7 on Instagram's "Reels Rising Audio" chart.
"Play Hard" is an album that captures Tours' growth as they transition from boyhood to the vibrant youth they embrace. Their pre-released track, "Head Shoulders Knees Toes," showcased their determination to break boundaries with a powerful performance. "OVERDRIVE" showcases the team's strengths, with its healthy energy and refreshing beats.
Meanwhile, TWS will perform their new song on SBS funE's "The Show" on the 21st.
