Singer Bada dreams of a full S.E.S. reunion... taking cautious steps

Singer Bada talks about S.E.S.'s full-group comeback. On the episode airing on the 20th of Channel A's "Close Friends Tokumentary – Table for Four," Bada invites Eugene and Brian. Upon first seeing Eugene, Bada recalls, "I realized I wasn't the center," sharing her first impression of Eugene.

Bada reminisces about Eugene writing the pronunciation and interpretation of an English song she sang for her college entrance exam in Hangul. She expresses gratitude, saying she was able to enter college as the top practical exam student thanks to Eugene. She also reveals handwritten letters and photos full of memories exchanged between her and Eugene during their S.E.S. days, moving the audience.

The story behind Brian confessing "I Like You" to Bada in the past is also revealed for the first time on the show. MC Park Kyung-lim expresses surprise, asking, "Did you two date? Why did you shake Brian off?" Brian retorts, "Why did you toy with me?" causing the scene to burst into laughter. Eugene mediates between the two, and the behind-the-scenes story that ruined their matchmaking after 28 years is unveiled.

Bada confides, "There is a secret Kyung-lim told me never to reveal," and Park Kyung-lim jokes, "Is that still a secret? I thought you were talking about me liking Kim Dong-wan from Shinhwa," filling the scene with laughter.

Bada's childhood is also revealed. She shares that due to her father's illness, their family's finances declined after three years, and they lived in a prefabricated building next to a church until her debut. For Bada, who insisted on attending an arts high school, her father, given a six-month prognosis, wore traditional robes and a hat to attend her stage performance. Bada recalls hearing her father say, "I really don't want to go today," and crying in the bathroom, vowing then to succeed no matter what.

Bada says she was able to debut as a singer thanks to many people's help, including someone who anonymously paid her tuition and a priest who covered her study room fees. She reveals that to repay the help she received, she has been holding a bazaar with UNICEF for 13 years. She also shares that close friends Eugene and Brian participate in the bazaar with her, evoking emotion.

Bada recalls her family washing with cold water in a house without hot water and confesses that she also washed with cold water at the dormitory. She says she will never forget the day she first washed with warm water after receiving her first settlement payment.

When MC Park Kyung-lim asks about S.E.S.'s full-group comeback plans, Bada replies, "Both Shudo and the fans are waiting for the right time when it feels natural." Now in her eighth year of marriage, Bada plans to share her love story with her husband, who is 11 years younger. She says she repeatedly rejected his feelings, thinking she was too young. Eugene reveals that Bada's love life was always a concern and adds that after meeting Bada's husband, she approved because he is a genuine person, showing her affection for Bada.

Bada and Eugene say they have decided to hold their annual couples' gathering at Brian's house this year, boasting their strong friendship. "Close Friends Tokumentary – Table for Four," a time to look into a star's life with close friends, airs every Monday at 8:10 p.m.
