Fans of singer Lim Young-woong are continuously carrying out donation and volunteer activities for neighbors in need. The fan club Hero Era's volunteer sharing group "Raon" conducted its 52nd meal service and donation at Rodem House in Yangpyeong on October 18. The amount donated that day was 2,040,000 KRW.
"Raon" supports monthly meal expenses and various supplies to Rodem House in Yangpyeong, where children with severe disabilities reside, and carries out kitchen meal service by preparing and providing food directly. For this meal service, in celebration of Chuseok, beef radish soup, bulgogi, three-color skewered jeon, donggeurangttaeng, crab stick salad, perilla leaf jeon, and songpyeon were served. Snacks for the children included candies, cookies, milk, juice, fruits (bananas, apples, Shine Muscat grapes, oranges), and 10 kg of Korean beef brisket.
"Raon" stated, "Although the holiday has passed, we wanted to feed delicious food, so we made the labor-intensive three-color skewered jeon, donggeurangttaeng, and perilla leaf jeon, cooked radish soup with Korean beef for a deep flavor, and stir-fried tasty bulgogi. We were busy preparing various dishes such as crab stick salad with plenty of crab sticks and mushroom stir-fry in a short time, but we did our best with joy."
"Raon," which carries out the volunteer activities, said, "We shop for large quantities of food and snacks according to the menu selected a day before, and on the day of volunteering, we load the ingredients and snacks from early morning and travel a long way from Seoul to Yangpyeong, sweating as we cook and serve the meals. This was our 52nd meal service. Seeing the children eat the food we provide and become healthier gives us a sense of fulfillment and happiness, and we return looking forward to next month."
"Raon" added, "As fans of singer Lim Young-woong who practice the value of togetherness, we are steadily striving to be a warm presence for marginalized neighbors." The volunteer sharing group "Raon" conducts monthly volunteer activities by seeking out difficult or overlooked places that others avoid.
Over the past 53 months, "Raon" has provided meal services and donation support for youth independence through Rodem House, shantytowns, Yongsan box villages, the Seoul Child Welfare Association, and "People Selling Hope," as well as support for children with severe illnesses through Seoul National University Children's Hospital. The total amount of donations through all these activities has reached 185,170,000 KRW.
Fans of Lim Young-woong are making a positive impact on the local community through these activities, and the continuous volunteer work and donations by the fan club "Raon" serve as an example to many. The fan club plans to continue various support efforts for neighbors in need.
