
The original musical 'Dream High' has officially confirmed the production of Season 3. The show musical 'Dream High Reboot' will premiere in Seoul in July 2026 and continue performances in Japan in September. Afterwards, it plans to tour various cities both domestically and internationally. 'Dream High' is based on the 2011 KBS drama and centers on the dreams and passions of youth. The drama tells the story of students at Giraffe High School growing through music and dance. It gained worldwide popularity alongside the K-POP wave.
In 2023, it was reborn as a show musical, leading a new genre attempt in 'K-Musical.' In 2025, Season 2 'Again Dream High' demonstrated the potential for overseas expansion of domestic original musicals. Notably, 'Again Dream High' participated in the Korea Tourism Organization roadshow, contributing to attracting foreign tourists and presenting a new model for spreading the Korean Wave.
The show musical 'Dream High Reboot,' corresponding to Season 3, will be produced by Art One Company. Art One Company will develop the symbolic message of the work, "Everyone has a dream in their heart," and reignite the passion of youth on stage through explosive music and performance. Kim Eun-ha, CEO of Art One Company, stated, "'Dream High Reboot' will convey a message of hope for a new beginning beyond generations and borders with the theme of 'dream.'"
Joining this season is music director Kim Sung-soo, well known as the composer of Netflix's 'Squid Game' and music director of 'Physical 100.' Kim Sung-soo will add delicate emotional lines and story direction. Additionally, choreographer Choi Young-joon, famous for Seventeen's 'Son Ogong' and BTS's 'I NEED U,' will take charge of overall choreography, presenting a dynamic stage that blends the energy of K-POP with the dramatic emotions of musical theater.
'Dream High Reboot' will begin announcing global auditions in December, with full-scale auditions scheduled for February 2026 to discover new leads. Universal Music Japan will participate in this audition, raising expectations for various collaborations based on a global music network. This audition, seeking the next generation of K-Musical stars skilled in singing, dancing, and acting, will expand the worldview of the 'Dream High' series and broaden the possibilities of Hallyu original musicals.
Meanwhile, Art One Company is also planning the next project, the musical 'All of Us Are Dead,' as a Korea-Japan co-production with Universal Music Japan. Original musicals based on domestic IP are creating new opportunities through collaboration with overseas production companies, continuing meaningful progress.
The show musical 'Dream High Reboot' will open in Seoul in July 2026 and continue its grand journey connecting domestic and international stages throughout 2026.
