The group Epik High celebrated their 22nd anniversary by traveling in Jeju Island and reaffirming their friendship.
Epik High (Tablo, Mithra, and DJ Tukutz) released a video titled "Why We Always Stick Together Even Though We Fight for 22 Years" on their official YouTube channel on the 23rd. The video captured their daily life during the 22nd-anniversary trip to Jeju Island.
Upon arriving in Jeju, Tablo recalled visiting Jeju with Mithra and their agency staff during the final days of the "Peace Day" activities. He mentioned that a typhoon hit just as they arrived, preventing them from going outside, saying, "It was like a company workshop, but unfortunately, a typhoon came, so it was the worst."
When they arrived at a popular restaurant, DJ Tukutz danced in the garden in front of the restaurant, prompting Tablo to comment, "Why is he acting like that these days?" Mithra responded, "I don't want to be treated the same," which made everyone laugh.
During the main activity, DJ Tukutz attempted the 360-degree sky swing but failed due to his awkward posture. Tablo and Mithra relentlessly teased Tukutz, showing their genuine close friendship chemistry. Then, Tablo tried racing for the first time in his life but got scared and said, "This is why I never learned to drive." Meanwhile, Tukutz and Mithra showed enthusiasm, with Tukutz attracting attention by setting an impressive record.
After finishing the activities and returning to their accommodation, Epik High prepared a party to celebrate their 22nd anniversary. Tablo expressed his amazement, saying, "Our team has been together for 22 years." He added, "There is a song called '10 Years Later' among Epik High's songs, and back then, 10 years felt like the farthest future." He continued, "I mistakenly thought I would be a full adult in 10 years, but 10 years came much faster than I expected."
Mithra said, "In my early 20s, I thought that when I turned 30, I would be a complete old man who doesn't fit with hip-hop." Tablo also shared his thoughts, saying, "I thought I wouldn't be able to make music anymore, but 20 years passed in the blink of an eye."
Later, Epik High celebrated their 22nd anniversary with a barbecue party with the staff. The members showed perfect harmony by joking and teasing each other. Through this, Epik High's strong teamwork was revealed.
Meanwhile, Epik High will hold a solo concert at the Ticketlink Live Arena in Seoul this December. The originally scheduled performances on December 25, 27, and 28 were sold out, so an additional show on the 26th was added, making it a total of four days.
