Singer Kim Jang-hoon revealed his conviction about donations. On the October 25th broadcast of MBC variety show "Omniscient Interfering View," Kim Jang-hoon held a concert on Dokdo Island in honor of Dokdo Day and explained his philosophy on giving. He expressed regret over having donated 20 billion won out of the profits earned from appearing in more than 50 advertisements in the past.

On the show, Kim Jang-hoon said, "When I earned several hundred billion won, I feel foolish for having donated only 20 billion won." He explained the reason for his donations, saying, "I don't donate out of a noble heart or a sense of mission. When I fly, I fly first class. I just live as a free spirit." He added that donating is about giving back what remains.

Kim Jang-hoon emphasized his love for Dokdo and revealed that this was his sixth visit to the island. He said, "Dokdo is a place difficult to dock because of high waves. You can only get there about 40 times a year." On that day, he boarded a large cruise ship bound for Ulleungdo and held a free concert, communicating with the audience.

When asked, "You're not paid to perform, so how do you cover the expenses?" he replied, "I pay for everything myself." He continued, "I think, 'I shouldn't keep everything I have,' so I give back." Kim Jang-hoon expressed hope that younger generations would follow his example through donations.

Kim Jang-hoon's performance received great applause from the audience. He moved them by singing the "Independence Army Patriotic Song" on Dokdo. His concert reflected his affection for Dokdo as well as his conviction about donations.
