Model Lee Hyun-yi and her husband Hong Sung-gi shared their honest thoughts on equal marriage. On the 25th, a video titled "How are people getting married these days? Marriage principles from a couple married for 13 years" was posted on the YouTube channel "Working Mom Lee Hyun-yi."

Lee Hyun-yi expressed her thoughts on the separately provided "fitting fee" when trying on wedding attire. In response to the production team's question, "Did you give the fitting fee in an envelope or something?" she said, "Isn't the studio shooting for free? You pay all the money yourself. So why do they do that?" She continued, "It feels like that. It's like being told to clean a pension house cleaner than your own home," adding, "You want to do your best because you are desperate, but they take advantage of that desperation. It's supposed to be a token of gratitude. I think the fitting fee is a formality."

The couple also shared their opinions on "equal marriage." Hong Sung-gi said, "Young people think everything should be equal," adding, "It should be the same for both families, and you have to get permission even when buying personal items." He said, "From my perspective as someone married for 13 years, then why get married? Why live married life if that's the case?"

Hong Sung-gi emphasized, "Even among coworkers, they don't do it like that," and said, "Some parents are financially independent, and some are not. Should we really treat them equally? I don't think so. We should take better care of parents who have difficulty being independent, and for the others, we should make sure they don't feel neglected by giving more attention on birthdays or holidays." He added, "If you treat everyone equally, the meaning of marriage..." and said, "I don't think it's family. That's a contractual relationship."
