Actor Go Geon-han is playing the role of Jang Eung-su, Choi Woo-shik's cousin and self-proclaimed rival, in SBS's Friday-Saturday drama "Woozoo Mary Me," bringing lively energy to the series with his sly charm.
"Woozoo Mary Me" (directed by Song Hyun-wook, written by Lee Hana, produced by Samhwa Networks and Studio S) currently airs at 9:50 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Go Geon-han added humor through the chemistry between characters in the early episodes 1 and 2. He subtly competed with Woozoo (played by Choi Woo-shik) and engaged in playful banter with his mother Mi-yeon (played by Baek Ji-won), capturing viewers' attention. At times, he responded in an absent-minded and quirky manner, echoing Mi-yeon's words or showing a naive, innocent side like a child.
In episodes 3 and 4, his sly acting increased the immersion of the drama. He cleverly escaped situations by betting over the marketing team leader position with Woozoo and embarrassed Woozoo with sharp questions about his relationship with the design company's CEO. At the same time, he showed a caring side by paying attention to Woozoo. During a family meal, he gave Mi-yeon a knowing look when she misspoke, and after Woozoo left the table, he expressed subtle concern by sharing a childhood story: "People don't really know, but Woozoo is actually quite timid and scared. When he was young, he would hide in his room holding a doll whenever there was thunder."
In episodes 5 and 6, he added depth to his character by showing both warmth and irritating traits. After performing a memorial ceremony for Woozoo's parents, he scolded Mi-yeon for forgetting Woozoo's birthday by saying, "Sometimes something like pork cutlet is nice," and "Woozoo likes it," but also subtly agreed when Mi-yeon spoke ill of Woozoo behind his back. Additionally, when Woozoo made a mistake at work, he revealed his ambition by mentioning that he could return as the marketing team leader.
Go Geon-han began his full-fledged acting career in 2017. He has appeared in dramas such as "Tale of Gyeryong Fairy," "Those Who Read Hearts of Evil," "National Execution Vote," "Sweet Home," and "My Perfect Secretary," as well as the film "The Outlaws 3." Without limiting himself to specific genres or fields, he has left a strong impression on the public with every work and is building a diverse filmography based on solid acting skills.
