The group ZEROBASEONE is making a full-scale entry into the Japanese market. ZEROBASEONE released the Japanese special EP "ICONIK" at midnight on October 29. This album carries the message, "Regardless of others' evaluations, we can become iconic beings ourselves." Reflecting the bold aspirations of the nine members, this album includes three songs in Japanese: the title track "ICONIK," "SLAM DUNK," and "BLUE," the title track from their fifth mini-album "BLUE PARADISE."
ZEROBASEONE is receiving a phenomenal response in Japan. They recently appeared on major music programs such as TV Asahi's "Music Station" and TBS's "CDTV Live! Live!," capturing the attention of local fans. They showcased the Japanese version of "ICONIK," impressing audiences once again with their vibrant performance and iconic presence.
Additionally, ZEROBASEONE is conducting a special campaign in collaboration with JR Tokai (JR東海). This campaign targets Shinkansen passengers operated by JR Tokai, offering participants a special message video from ZEROBASEONE and smartphone wallpapers. Prizes including autographed items by the members will also be awarded through a lottery.
ZEROBASEONE achieved a "half-million seller" status within a week of their Japanese debut last March with their first single "Yura Yura -Unmei no Hana- (ゆらゆら -運命の花-)." This set a record as the highest sales for a debut album by an overseas artist. Following that, their first EP "PREZENT," released last January, ranked number one on both the Oricon weekly album chart and the weekly combined album chart. It also placed fourth in Billboard Japan's 2025 mid-year "Top Album Sales" rankings.
With the steadfast support of local fans, ZEROBASEONE won the "Best New Artist" award in the Asia category at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards. The release of this special EP "ICONIK" is expected to set another record.
Meanwhile, the "2025 ZEROBASEONE WORLD TOUR 'HERE&NOW'," held over two days from October 29 to 30 at Saitama Super Arena, has added additional seats with restricted views due to overwhelming demand. This is seen as proof of ZEROBASEONE's strong ticket power. Through the release of their Japanese special EP, local TV appearances, fan participation events, and their world tour, ZEROBASEONE is solidifying their position in the Japanese market.
