Tour's 'OVERDRIVE' rapidly rises to Melon chart top 100

Group Tours (TWS) continues to rise on music charts with their new song "OVERDRIVE." As of October 27, the song entered the Melon daily chart at number 100, climbing 16 spots from 116 the previous day. The number of users increased from 27,043 on the release day to 34,186 on the 26th, and 40,136 on the 27th. This upward trend is seen as the result of Tours' efforts showcased on stage.

"OVERDRIVE" is the title track of Tours' fourth mini-album "play hard," effectively expressing the group's distinctive "clear intensity." The pre-released track "Head Shoulders Knees Toes" reflects the determination of the six members moving toward their goals, while "OVERDRIVE" vividly conveys the emotions and passion of youth in love. The "Angtal Challenge" performed on stage gained significant attention. The members received explosive reactions from K-pop fans with choreography involving placing one hand on the chest and shaking the shoulders. This choreography is easy to follow yet memorable, making it optimized for short-form content and ranking first on Instagram's "Reels Rising Audio" chart.

On the 28th, Dohoon communicated with fans through the fan communication platform Weverse, saying, "I will work hard on Angtal only until this year. I will be 22 next year after all." Tours achieved a new career high with approximately 640,000 initial sales in the first week after release. They ranked first on the Circle Chart weekly chart and retail album category, and reached ninth on the Billboard Japan Hot Shot Song chart.

Foreign media are also paying attention to Tours' growth. The Hollywood Reporter, Forbes, and Tomorrow Magazine praised the new release, saying, "The album, filled with intense energy, shows a new side fitting the time of youth," and described them as "a versatile group with strong boyhood pop DNA."

Tours achieved musical development with this album. Jihoon participated in creating the choreography for the title track and contributed to songwriting for the first time. Dohoon was credited as the lyricist for the track "I Will Be Your Tomorrow," contributing to expressing Tours' unique color.

On the 24th, Jihoon received high praise among K-pop fans through a freestyle dance live broadcast held at the practice room. Comments such as "The level of male idols these days is really high," "Good dancers have a different vibe," and "He dances like this and sings live well too" followed. His childhood dance videos and various stages have been reappraised, establishing him as a new representative dancer in K-pop.

Tours debuted in January last year with their first mini-album "Sparkling Blue." The title track "First Meeting Didn't Go as Planned" gained syndromic popularity, winning rookie awards at various ceremonies. They will celebrate their second anniversary next January. They show determination to grow while maintaining their original intentions toward music, stage, and fans without forgetting their early aspirations.

Jihoon stated about Tours' activity goals, "Through upcoming activities, I want to create many good memories with our fans. We want to continuously explore the colors we can show and present new sides to fans and the public." This reflects the group's will for continuous growth and change.
