The group ZEROBASEONE is showing a strong presence in the Japanese market. On October 29, ZEROBASEONE released their special EP "ICONIK" in Japan. The title track "ICONIK (Japanese ver.)" ranked 2nd on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking immediately after its release. This demonstrates the high level of interest in ZEROBASEONE within Japan.
"ICONIK (Japanese ver.)" also ranked 1st on the Japanese iTunes K-pop Top Songs chart. Additionally, it secured 10th place on the Line Music real-time Top 100 chart, continuing its success. To commemorate the release of the special EP, ZEROBASEONE appeared on major music programs such as TV Asahi's "Music Station" and TBS's "CDTV Live! Live!" Alongside this, they are strengthening their promotion in Japan through a special collaboration with JR Tokai (JR東海) and their world tour.
ZEROBASEONE's popularity in Japan was anticipated. In March of last year, ZEROBASEONE achieved a "half-million seller" status within a week of debuting locally with their first Japanese single "Yurayura -Unmei no Hana- (ゆらゆら -運命の花-)." This set a record for the highest debut album sales by a foreign artist in history.
Afterward, ZEROBASEONE's first EP "PREZENT" ranked 1st on both the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking and the Weekly Combined Album Ranking. They also placed 4th in Billboard Japan's 2025 first half-year "Top Album Sales" chart. These achievements contributed to solidifying ZEROBASEONE's position in the Japanese market.
ZEROBASEONE won the "Best New Artist" award in the Asia category at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards. This reflects the group's phenomenal popularity. Having reaffirmed their presence as a global top-tier group with "ICONIK," ZEROBASEONE will continue their world tour at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan on October 30.
This Japanese concert opened additional restricted-view seats due to the enthusiastic support of fans. This is regarded as proof of ZEROBASEONE's strong ticket power. Through their activities in Japan, ZEROBASEONE is elevating the status of K-pop, and expectations for their future endeavors are growing.
