Kim Jaejoong's mother runs a restaurant in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do. The restaurant records monthly sales of 30 to 40 million won, and it was revealed that she paid off 100 million won in debt within a year. She also appeared on the "Mom's Hands Special" aired on September 26, where she introduced healthy recipes for his father's cancer treatment.

In a pre-released video, Kim Jaejoong participates in making kimchi by applying seasoning paste to salted napa cabbage with his mother. He reacted, "Is this really the kimchi recipe? It's amazing." Panelist Lee Junghyun said, "This kind of kimchi recipe is new to me. I definitely want to try it."
