Hwanhee shows off his playful side on 'Knowing Bros'... laughter blooms with fans

Singer Hwanhee appeared on JTBC's variety show "Knowing Bros," radiating cheerful energy. On the November 1st episode, Hwanhee discussed the original and parody versions of "Sea Of Love" with Brian, Jung Jae-hyung, and Kim Min-soo. During the broadcast, Jung Jae-hyung and Kim Min-soo's parody short-form video of "Sea Of Love" surpassed 3 million views, gaining great popularity. Hwanhee said, "I enjoyed watching it. I attend many events, and thanks to this, many people sing along with me."

A joint stage performance of "Sea Of Love" by the four took place during the show. Hwanhee is currently experiencing a "second prime" by challenging trot music on MBN's "Active King 2." He expressed gratitude to Kim Young-chul, saying, "When I went to perform in a different genre, I felt clueless. When I was shrinking in the waiting room, Young-chul came out. He was a sanctuary for my heart."

Hwanhee also talked about new music releases. He said, "We support each other's activities and have opportunities to work together, but there are no concrete album plans yet." Brian candidly shared, "My vocal condition isn't perfect. Like athletes experiencing 'the yips,' there is also mental pressure." Hwanhee added, "Singers rely on singing for their profession, but sometimes even hospital treatment doesn't help when things suddenly don't work out. You have to rest unconditionally."

Brian explained why Fly to the Sky has not made a comeback. He said, "Because my vocal condition is poor and I can't make music, I get stressed from that. People misunderstand and ask, 'Brian, why aren't you singing?'" He continued, "Hwanhee is waiting for me, but since I keep not being able to perform, I feel sorry and stressed." He revealed that he is undergoing treatment and vocal training but is also facing mental challenges.

Hwanhee empathized with Brian's situation, saying, "It's like the yips that athletes experience." He added with a cheerful tone, "Brian and I have been active together since we were 18, and we've fought a lot. When we argue, I can never win."

Jung Jae-hyung and Kim Min-soo recently attracted attention by parodying Fly to the Sky's "Sea of Love" in a remastered version. Kim Min-soo said, "These days, there's a trend of remastering early 2000s songs. I thought it would be fun to imitate the music video rather than just the song."

Before the parody video was released, Brian received a DM from Kim Min-soo and said, "Watching the video, I could tell a lot of study went into it." Hwanhee said, "I woke up and received a ton of videos. People around me joked, 'Shouldn't you send a certified letter?'" but added, "At events, people sing along a lot," expressing his gratitude.

Through this broadcast, Hwanhee plans to connect with fans through various stages and programs. His sense of humor and chemistry with Brian brought great laughter to viewers. "Knowing Bros" airs every Saturday at 9 PM.
