[The Fact | Reporter Choi Hyun-jung] Group AHOF has released a selection of tracks from their new album.
On the 30th at midnight, their agency F&F Entertainment released a highlight medley from their second mini-album, "The Passage," through AHOF's (Steven, Seo Jung-woo, Cha Woong-ki, Zhang Shuaibo, Park Han, JL, Park Joo-won, and Zuen Daisuke) official social media channels.
According to the released video, "The Passage" contains a total of five tracks: the title track "Pinocchio Hates Lies," "Nine, the Beginning of a Shining Number (Intro)" (Intro), "Run at 1.5x Speed," "I Won't Lose You Again," and "Sleeping Diary (Outro)" (Outro).
The title track "Pinocchio Hates Lies" is a band-style track inspired by the fairy tale "Pinocchio." It expresses a desire to be honest with someone, even amidst vicissitudes, anxiety, and wavering.
This album follows the collaboration with producer EL CAPITXN, who previously worked with the band. Steven also contributed to the lyrics for "Nine, the Beginning of a Shining Number (Intro)" and "I Won't Lose You Again," while Cha Woong-ki and Park Han contributed to "I Won't Lose You Again."
AHOF's music is characterized by a tracklist consisting of an intro and an outro. The members have developed their own unique narratives through song compositions that flow seamlessly.
In "The Passage," they also used the intro and outro to express the complex emotions of Ah-Nine as they experience their inner growing pains.
Notably, the final track of their first mini-album, "WHO WE ARE," "AHOF, Our Shining Number (Outro)," has been rearranged and reborn as the intro for "The Passage." The organic connection between AHOF's story and their previous work heightens anticipation for their new album.
AHOF's second mini-album, "The Passage," expands upon their youthful narrative. The members project themselves into Pinocchio, tracing their journey from boyhood to adulthood. The members tell a "rough youth" narrative, confronting and shaking the boundaries between boyhood and adulthood, becoming stronger as they grow
