
Singer Park Jin-young shares various stories based on his 30 years of music experience. MBC's Radio Star will air on November 5th, featuring a special segment titled "JYPick Eutjja!" with Park Jin-young, Ahn So-hee, Boom, and Kwon Jin-ah. Park Jin-young was recently appointed as the inaugural co-chairman of the Presidential Commission on Popular Culture Exchange. MC Kim Gu-ra introduced the position by saying, "Although it is a part-time role, it receives ministerial-level treatment." Park Jin-young revealed, "I politely declined for the past three months, but they kept contacting me." He plans to share the story behind finally accepting the offer after several refusals and will present an official statement in one minute.
Park Jin-young said that appearing on Radio Star is his top priority when releasing new songs. He stated, "Whenever I release a new song, I think about appearing on Radio Star," and performed a duet stage with Kwon Jin-ah. This performance received a big round of applause.
Park Jin-young's affection for Ahn So-hee was also revealed. He mentioned, "So-hee is my close friend. She is very gentle and kind," with a fatherly smile. He humorously explained why he filmed a congratulatory video for Ahn So-hee's first solo fan meeting in the rain in Italy. The two showcased a dance stage on the spot, demonstrating their chemistry after 14 years.
The achievements of JYP Entertainment were also mentioned. Park Jin-young shared that JYP ranked 3rd globally and 1st in Korea on Time magazine's list of the "World's Best Sustainable Growth Companies." He said, "This is all thanks to our company people," explaining, "The old building was built by Rain and Wonder Girls, and the new building was built by Stray Kids and TWICE."
He also expressed pride in Stray Kids' achievements. Park Jin-young said, "These kids really have their own colors. My job is just to pave the way." He revealed a story about giving Stray Kids gold gifts worth over 100 million won and added, "The price of gold has gone up again these days."
Park Jin-young also mentioned plans for an "organic restaurant" and "organic lunchbox delivery" being prepared in the new building. He shared his philosophy, saying, "Eating, like music, ultimately requires sincerity."
Family stories were also shared. As a father of two daughters, Park Jin-young talked about the games he plays most recently and spoke about his daughters who have "singer DNA." He proudly said, "The eldest dances well, and the youngest sings well."
