The group Monsta X donated funds to the global child rights NGO Good Neighbors on the 12th to support children facing food insecurity in South Korea. Monsta X made the donation under the name of their fan club, Monbebe. This donation was made as a good deed to celebrate the group's 10th anniversary since debut, as a way to give back the love they received from their fans.
According to Good Neighbors, the donated funds will be used to provide meal kits, side dishes, groceries, and other support to children at risk of food insecurity during school vacations. Monsta X began their donation activities for low-income families in 2020 and have continued their sharing efforts steadily since then. Notably, in March, they donated 100 million won to residents and children affected by wildfires in the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions and were registered in the "The Neighbors Honors Club," a group of high-value donors.
Monsta X stated, "The 10 years have been even more special because we were together with our fans. Just as Monsta X and Monbebe support each other, we hope this sharing will also be a great strength to someone." They emphasized their bond with fans and expressed their commitment to fulfilling social responsibility through their donation activities.
Meanwhile, Monsta X released their U.S. digital single "Baby Blue" at midnight on the 14th. This new song is their first U.S. single album in about four years since their second U.S. full-length album "The Dreaming," released in December 2021, and is seen as an opportunity to reaffirm the group's global influence.
At the end of the year, they plan to meet fans by attending the "10th Anniversary AAA 2025" awards ceremony held in December and the U.S.'s largest year-end festival, the "2025 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour." Monsta X's activities are gaining attention for achieving both musical accomplishments and social contributions simultaneously.
