BTS V heats up TIRTIR popup event in Tokyo, Japan



The pop-up event of the beauty brand TIRTIR, which appointed BTS's V as its global ambassador, is being successfully held in Tokyo, Japan. V attended the pop-up event held in Los Angeles, USA, on November 15, solidifying his status as a star representing K-beauty. This pop-up event is the first large-scale event held by TIRTIR since its founding and contributes to increasing the brand's global recognition.

TIRTIR is strengthening its brand image through V's star marketing and is holding pop-up events in Seongsu, Seoul, South Korea, Los Angeles, USA, and Tokyo, Japan. At MEDIA DEPARTMENT TOKYO in Tokyo, a pop-up store will operate for one week from November 15 to 22. Advertising videos featuring V are being broadcast on billboards in key areas including the Shibuya Scramble Crossing in Tokyo, brightly illuminating the city's nights.

On November 17, TIRTIR Japan announced that V's TIRTIR campaign photoshoot would grace the cover of WWD Japan, a global media outlet delivering fashion and beauty industry news. Just hours after this announcement, a sold-out notice was posted at WWD Japan's sales outlets, demonstrating the sales power of products bearing V's name.

Currently, TIRTIR products rank number one in the base makeup and face makeup categories on Amazon Japan. Additionally, the foundation product has held the number one spot in its ranking for ten consecutive days and also ranks first in the popular gift category. This shows that V's influence is strongly active in the Japanese market as well.

Rolling Stone reported in an article titled "V Surprises Fans at Korean Beauty Brand Skincare Campaign Launch Party" that V attended a special preview event held the night before the pop-up opening. Charles Melton, Isabella Merced, and Emily Allyn Lind celebrated together at this event, and despite it being unofficial, many fans were seen lining up to see V.

K-beauty plays an important role in spreading Korean popular culture worldwide, alongside K-pop and K-dramas. TIRTIR's global campaign is a successful collaboration between a global superstar and K-beauty, serving as a stepping stone to promote various aspects of K-culture. This pop-up event contributes to the brand's entry into the U.S. market and is expected to further accelerate the global expansion of K-beauty.
