
Lee Dong-hwi will attend the 12th Edaily Culture Awards. Lee Dong-hwi will serve as a presenter in the concert category at the awards ceremony held at 7 p.m. on December 2 at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts Grand Theater in Jongno-gu, Seoul. This ceremony covers six performing arts fields: theater, classical music, dance, musicals, traditional Korean music, and concerts, marking its 12th edition since its official launch in 2013.
At the 12th Edaily Culture Awards, the grand prize, excellence awards, and special awards will be presented. The winner of this year's concert category excellence award is the band Jannabi. Jannabi recently made a comeback with their fourth full album, Sound of Music Part 2: Life, and will perform a congratulatory stage on the day. Jannabi will participate in the ceremony as both the concert category excellence award winner and a gala concert performer.
The special connection between Lee Dong-hwi and Jannabi is drawing attention. Lee Dong-hwi has revealed on several broadcasts that he has been a longtime fan of Jannabi and has often been seen attending their concerts. Fans have reported multiple sightings of Lee Dong-hwi at Jannabi concerts.
Lee Dong-hwi also attended Jannabi's Gymnasium Concert "All Boys and Girls 2125," which won the concert category excellence award this year. Jannabi held this concert over three days starting August 2 at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, and was selected as the concert category excellence award winner announced prior to the ceremony. This is the first time Jannabi has won an award for a solo concert under their name.
Lee Dong-hwi expressed his fandom by posting a verified photo with Jannabi members on his social media with the caption "Forever." He congratulated Jannabi on their first dome concert and shared a message of pride. Jannabi has maintained a long friendship with Lee Dong-hwi, even visiting to watch his plays.
Lee Dong-hwi is currently engaging with global audiences through the Disney+ series Pine: Country Bumpkins and appeared in the film You and My 5 Minutes released on December 5. He is also scheduled to participate in Change Street, a large-scale project program commemorating the 60th anniversary of Korea-Japan diplomatic relations, premiering on December 20. Lee Dong-hwi will join the play Turing Machine, which will be revived in January next year, and is busy preparing for the performance.
In addition to the concert category, excellence award winners in various fields were announced at the 12th Edaily Culture Awards. The theater category excellence award went to Fortress No One Wants to Play Anymore, Yutnori (Cornerstone Theater Company); the classical category to Classic Revolution 2025 (Lotte Cultural Foundation); the dance category to What I Saw in the Water (National Contemporary Dance Company); the traditional Korean music category to Simcheong (National Changgeuk Company); and the musical category to The Great Gatsby (Audi Company). The grand prize among the excellence award winners will be announced on the day of the ceremony.
Besides Lee Dong-hwi, various stars such as actors Chae Shi-ra, Park Hae-soo, Ahn Jae-wook, Lee Chae-min, singer and actor Minho (SHINee), musical actors Kim So-hyun and Son Jun-ho couple, and traditional musician Park Ae-ri will serve as presenters. The gala concert performer lineup includes the band Jannabi, girl group Lissene, crossover group La Poem, dancer Choi Ho-jong, and traditional musician Kim Junsu. Additionally, actor Jung Joon-ho and Lee Ha-jung couple will co-host the ceremony as MCs.
The 12th Edaily Culture Awards is hosted by Edaily and organized by the Kwak Jae-sun Cultural Foundation, with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Woori Bank, KG, and Hollys. Tickets can be purchased through the online reservation sites Ticketlink and Sejong Ticket.
