The group Stray Kids set a new record with their upcoming release 'SKZ IT TAPE 'DO IT',' which will be released on the 21st. According to their agency JYP Entertainment, this album achieved 1 million pre-saves on the global music streaming platform Spotify's 'Spotify Countdown,' based on the number of pre-saves. This is the first record for a K-pop album and the third highest ever, following Taylor Swift's 'The Life of a Showgirl' and Tame Impala's 'Deadbeat.'
'SKZ IT TAPE' contains the musical direction Stray Kids want to pursue, and 'DO IT' is the first work signaling the start of that direction. The album includes a total of five tracks, featuring double title tracks 'DO IT' and 'Fresh Play,' as well as 'Holiday,' 'Photobook,' and 'DO IT (Festival Version).' The group's producing team 3RACHA members Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han participated in the production of all tracks, enhancing the album's completeness.
Additionally, the new release ranked first for three consecutive weeks on Spotify's 'Countdown Chart Global Top 10,' which is selected based on the number of user pre-saves in a week. Since reaching number one for the first time in K-pop history on the chart dated November 5, it has maintained the top position through the chart dated the 19th, attracting high attention even before its release.
Through this album, Stray Kids express the hottest and most definite mood they want to show through their music. 'DO IT,' the first title track of this album, clearly reveals the group's musical color.
The new album 'SKZ IT TAPE 'DO IT'' will be officially released at 2 PM on the 21st. Stray Kids plan to strengthen communication with their global fans through this album.
