
HYBE Music Group APAC expressed condolences to the victims of the high-rise apartment fire tragedy in Hong Kong and donated funds for recovery efforts. On the 28th, the six labels under HYBE Music Group APAC—Big Hit Music, Belift Lab, Source Music, Pledis Entertainment, KOZ Entertainment, and ADOR—announced, "We extend our condolences to those who tragically lost their lives in the Hong Kong fire accident." They added, "We deeply sympathize with everyone experiencing great sorrow due to this sudden tragedy. We hope the damage in the affected area will be promptly addressed and recovered."
HYBE Music Group APAC donated 500 million KRW, approximately 2.66 million HKD, to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association. This donation will be used in cooperation with nonprofit organizations in Hong Kong to support the families of the fire victims. Yoodong Joo, CEO of HYBE Music Group APAC, stated, "We offer our deepest condolences and comfort to all those affected by the fire. We hope this support can provide some help during this difficult time and pray for a swift recovery."
Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, expressed gratitude, saying, "We thank HYBE Music Group APAC for their donation to help those suffering from the Hong Kong fire. The funds will be used carefully to support the bereaved families."
The fire occurred around 2:52 PM on the 26th at Wong Fuk Court, a residential high-rise apartment complex in the Tai Po district of northern Hong Kong. As of 6 AM on the 28th, 94 deaths have been confirmed. This incident has deeply shocked Hong Kong citizens, and there is a growing call for support for the victims' families and the local community.
Meanwhile, the 2025 MAMA Awards, a CJ ENM K-pop ceremony, will be held in Hong Kong on the 28th and 29th. The production team made the final decision to hold the event based on realistic circumstances but canceled the red carpet event and announced donations, planning to proceed with the ceremony in a tone of condolence and mourning. In this context, donations from K-pop agencies and artists such as SM Entertainment, HYBE Music Group, and JYP Entertainment are also continuing.
This fire tragedy has brought great sorrow to Hong Kong society, and many companies and individuals are making efforts to help the victims. These donations and support are expected to play an important role in overcoming the damage caused by the fire.
