
Singer Lim Young-woong continues his donation activities for children with pediatric cancer with the support of his fandom, 'Hero Era.' On December 3, the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation announced that Lim Young-woong donated 2 million won, the prize money he won in the November King of Good Stars competition, supported by his fan club, to provide emergency medical expenses for children suffering from pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases. With this donation, Lim Young-woong's cumulative donation amount has reached 116 million won.
Good Star is a donation platform that supports the positive influence of stars, where fans watch the singer's videos and songs and participate in missions to raise rankings, and prize money is donated accordingly. Lim Young-woong has been continuously carrying out donation activities with his fans through this platform.
The donations are promptly delivered to families of patients struggling with high medical costs and are used to support hospitalization fees, medication costs, and other treatment-related expenses. The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation supports surgery fees, hospital treatment costs, and transplantation fees for patients diagnosed with pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases under the age of 25, with support amounts ranging from 5 million won to a maximum of 30 million won.
Hong Seung-yoon, director of the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation, said, "We are grateful that fans and the singer have joined hands to extend warm support to sick children," and added, "We support Lim Young-woong's future activities."
Lim Young-woong has been steadily donating since 2021, and the total amount donated under the name of his fan club 'Hero Era' to the Community Chest of Korea has exceeded 2.1 billion won. Recently, he donated 400 million won to help neighbors affected by wildfires, with 300 million won contributed by Lim Young-woong and 100 million won by his agency, Fish Music. In November 2024, he attracted attention by donating all 1.2 billion won of event proceeds to neighbors in need.
The voluntary good deeds of the fan club 'Hero Era' are also remarkable. Since 2021, the total accumulated donations for neighborly love officially recorded have reached 3.6966 billion won, including 1.31825 billion won for Lim Young-woong's birthday, debut anniversary, and year-end good deeds, and 2.37835 billion won for disaster relief and support for vulnerable groups. Sub-organizations of the fan club continue donations and volunteer activities for facilities for children with severe disabilities. 'Raon' has been donating monthly and volunteering for meal services at Rodem House in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, for four years and received a commendation from the Yangpyeong County Governor. 'Study House' has supported the Bapsang Community for five years, delivering a total of 79.64 million won in donations.
Currently, Lim Young-woong is conducting the 2025 nationwide tour concert 'IM HERO.' Starting with the Seoul performance in November, the tour continues from December 10 to 12 in Gwangju, from January 2 to 4, 2026, in Daejeon, from January 16 to 18 in Seoul, and from February 6 to 8 in Busan. Lim Young-woong is continuously creating opportunities to meet fans nationwide.
The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit foundation registered with the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2001, carrying out various projects such as supporting treatment and surgery costs for children with pediatric cancer, leukemia, and rare diseases, outpatient treatment and emergency treatment support, emotional support, blood donation campaigns, and support for pediatric cancer children's shelters.
