NewJeans member Daniel attended an event with actor Park Bo-gum. Former announcer and broadcaster Lee Jung-min shared news on her personal channel about attending the 'Table for All 2025 Charity Dinner' held on November 30 at the Grand Walkerhill Seoul. This event, themed "A Table Where Everyone Dining Together Becomes Happy," is a representative donation campaign by Korea Compassion, carried out through talent donations from experts in the food and dining industry.
At the event, Lee Jung-min took a commemorative photo with singer Sean, actors Jung Hye-young, Park Bo-gum, and Daniel. A two-shot photo of Daniel and Park Bo-gum was also released on social media. Recently, Daniel has been active in a running crew with Sean, Park Bo-gum, and others, showing his close friendship with them. At this event as well, Daniel attended with them, demonstrating their strong bond.
Meanwhile, NewJeans declared contract termination in November 2024, citing Adore's breach of duty. Adore filed a lawsuit in December of the same year to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract, claiming that NewJeans unilaterally declared contract termination. Additionally, Adore submitted a provisional injunction request to prevent the members from engaging in independent activities until the main lawsuit is concluded, which the court approved last March.
In the main lawsuit held last October, the court ruled in favor of Adore. The court confirmed that "the exclusive contract is valid" and judged that "the dismissal of former CEO Min does not create a gap in NewJeans' management, nor does the exclusive contract require that former CEO Min must be in charge of Adore." As the appeal period passed, the first-instance ruling was finalized.
Subsequently, members Haerin and Hyein returned to Adore. On November 12, Adore released an official statement saying, "NewJeans members Haerin and Hyein have expressed their intention to continue activities with Adore," adding, "After careful consideration with their families and thorough discussions with Adore, the two members decided to respect the court's ruling and comply with the exclusive contract." They further stated, "Adore will do its best to support Haerin and Hyein in continuing their entertainment activities smoothly," and politely requested fans to refrain from unfounded speculation about the members while asking for warm support.
On the other hand, the remaining members Minji, Hanni, and Daniel notified their intention to return through legal representatives. The three members stated, "After careful consultation, we have decided to return to Adore," explaining, "One member is currently in Antarctica, so the communication was delayed, but since Adore did not respond, we had no choice but to announce our position separately." They added, "We will continue to meet you with sincere music and performances."
It is known that Adore held individual meetings with Minji and Daniel. Hanni, who is staying in Antarctica, reportedly did not attend the meeting. This has drawn attention to the future direction of NewJeans' activities.
