The group CLOSE YOUR EYES (CLOSE YOUR EYES, CLYA) has concluded activities for their third mini album. CLOSE YOUR EYES successfully wrapped up promotions for their third mini album, "blackout," after about three weeks, ending with a performance on MBC M's "Show! Champion" on December 3. "blackout" is an album that tells the growth story of CLOSE YOUR EYES as they break limits and run endlessly. They made their mark on the music scene with the title tracks "X" and "SOB."
"blackout" showcased a rough charm completely different from the cheerful boyishness of their previous work, capturing the hearts of K-pop fans worldwide. Notably, the album recorded initial sales of 570,000 copies, achieving both a career high and half-million seller status simultaneously. The cumulative sales of their three mini albums—1st, 2nd, and 3rd—have surpassed 1.2 million copies.
"blackout" entered various global charts, including domestic music sites, the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, Worldwide Apple Music Album Chart, and Spotify Daily Viral Song Chart. In particular, it ranked 2nd in the album category of the United World Chart for the 48th week of 2025. This is the highest ranking among boy groups that debuted in 2025.
CLOSE YOUR EYES won five rookie awards at various award ceremonies held this year. They received the K World Dream New Vision Award at the 2025 K World Dream Awards, Male Idol of the Year (Rookie) at the 2025 Brand of the Year Awards, Hottest category at the 2025 The Fact Music Awards, New Wave Artist Award at the TikTok Awards 2025, and IS Rookie Award at the 2025 Korea Grand Music Awards with iM Bank. Through these achievements, they reaffirmed their status as the hottest group of 2025.
Through their agency Uncore, CLOSE YOUR EYES shared, "The activities for our third mini album, which was a new challenge breaking limits, have ended. We were able to grow even more through this promotion, and we were happy to show many new sides to our Closers (official fandom name). We will come back with an even cooler image."
Meanwhile, CLOSE YOUR EYES is scheduled to hold their first solo concert in Korea in January 2026. Following that, they will embark on a Japan tour visiting Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka in February. Detailed information about the domestic concert will be announced later.
