BTS leader RM candidly shared his thoughts about the group's future. On December 7th, through Weverse Live, RM revealed, "I have thought tens of thousands of times whether it would be better to disband or to pause the team." RM also updated on the preparation status of the new album scheduled for release next spring. He said, "The album is almost done, and we all practiced together yesterday. RM expressed his eagerness for performances, saying, "The last concert was in October 2022, and it has been over three years. I want to perform right away." He added, "We need some preparation. RM sincerely answered fans' questions about BTS's hiatus. He said, "People ask why we lost the second half of 2025 and did nothing, but we didn't want to lose that time either." He continued, "I also wanted to be very active after my military discharge, but there are things I cannot disclose." He further mentioned, "We wanted to be active, but there was a reason we couldn't. There was a reason we decided not to be active in the second half, but I do not have the right to talk about it."
