The film "Upstairs Neighbors," which deals with conflicts over noise between floors, ranks second at the box office.

The film "Upstairs Neighbors," starring Ha Jung-woo, Gong Hyo-jin, Lee Ha-nui, and Kim Dong-wook, is demonstrating the strength of Korean cinema. According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticket sales network, "Upstairs Neighbors" attracted 50,929 viewers on the 7th, ranking second at the box office. Since its release on the 3rd, the film reclaimed the second spot, surpassing the Japanese animation "Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie - Shibuya Incident X Culling Game."

"Upstairs Neighbors" is a 19+ rated film targeting adult audiences, unlike the all-ages rated "Zootopia 2" and the 15+ rated "Jujutsu Kaisen" movie, thus having a more limited audience. While "Zootopia 2" secured 9,920 screenings across 2,240 screens, "Upstairs Neighbors" was shown 1,527 times on 730 screens. Nevertheless, "Upstairs Neighbors" has maintained the number one spot among Korean films at the box office for five consecutive days.

The distributor, By4M Co., Ltd., lacks strong distribution power in multiplex chains. However, "Upstairs Neighbors" is gaining word-of-mouth praise for its high quality and entertainment value, with a CGV Egg Index of 88% and a Naver real audience rating of 8.79. These figures reflect positive audience responses.

The film tells an unpredictable story of a couple living upstairs (Ha Jung-woo, Lee Ha-nui) and a couple living downstairs (Gong Hyo-jin, Kim Dong-wook) who end up having dinner together one night due to noise complaints between floors. Adult viewers can relate to the story and experience catharsis. Director Ha Jung-woo's humor code provides great satisfaction to the audience.

The lead actors are scheduled to appear on the YouTube show "Jjanhanhyung Shin Dong-yup" at 7 p.m. on the 8th. They are drawing attention with their distinct charms and chemistry and will share various stories about the film. Under the MC Shin Dong-yup's guidance, Ha Jung-woo, Gong Hyo-jin, Kim Dong-wook, and Lee Ha-nui plan to candidly discuss behind-the-scenes moments and their characters.

Despite increasingly challenging circumstances, "Upstairs Neighbors" is showcasing the vitality of Korean cinema. The film is currently screening nationwide. Audiences are gaining new enjoyment and experiences through this film, and its box office success is expected to continue.
