TWICE enters Tokyo National Stadium... first overseas artist to hold a solo concert

TWICE will hold a solo concert at the Tokyo National Stadium in Japan in April next year. This marks the first time a foreign artist has held a solo performance at the Tokyo National Stadium, making new history in the entertainment industry. TWICE announced this on the 7th through their official Japanese SNS channel, along with a poster for additional shows of their sixth world tour, "THIS IS FOR."

TWICE will perform three solo concerts at the Tokyo National Stadium on April 25, 26, and 28, 2026, in a fully open 360-degree format. Each concert can accommodate approximately 80,000 spectators, with a total expected audience of about 240,000 across the three shows. The Tokyo National Stadium is one of the most iconic venues in Japan, making TWICE's performance highly significant.

In September, TWICE attracted a total of 400,000 spectators during their dome tour in Japan as part of their world tour. At the final concert of that tour at Tokyo Dome, TWICE expressed their ambition to "move on to bigger stages" and announced additional performances for 2026. This marks the first time a foreign artist has entered the Tokyo National Stadium, further solidifying TWICE's position as a top global girl group.

Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, TWICE continues to maintain high popularity both domestically and internationally. Their recently released mini-album 14 track "Strawberry" charted on the Billboard main chart "Hot 100" for 17 weeks and became the first K-pop girl group song to receive platinum certification from the local Recording Industry Association (RIAA). This highlights TWICE's global achievements even more.

JYP Entertainment described TWICE's Tokyo National Stadium concert as "a meaningful step forward as a top global girl group." The concert is generating great anticipation among TWICE's fans and attracting attention from fans worldwide.

TWICE continues to set new records and elevate the status of K-pop. Their solo concert at the Tokyo National Stadium will be an opportunity to further highlight their efforts and achievements. Interest in TWICE's future activities is growing, and their progress is expected to have a positive impact on the overall K-pop industry.
