Broadcaster Jo Se-ho is voluntarily withdrawing from tvN's "You Quiz on the Block" and KBS 2TV's "2 Days & 1 Night" due to recent allegations of involvement with organized crime groups. Jo Se-ho's agency, A2Z Entertainment, announced this fact in an official statement on the 9th. The agency stated that Jo Se-ho feels a deep sense of responsibility regarding the misunderstandings and controversies raised against him and recognizes the discomfort felt by viewers.

The agency explained, "Jo Se-ho decided to withdraw with the hope that the program staff would not feel burdened by the attention directed at him." They added, "Jo Se-ho and the agency will respond strictly to this matter and will promptly and firmly take legal action to resolve misunderstandings and restore his tarnished image."

Jo Se-ho has recently been suspected of having a close relationship with Choi, the boss of an organized crime group in the Geochang area of Gyeongnam. Mr. A claimed that Jo Se-ho received expensive gifts from Choi and promoted franchises operated by Choi in return. Mr. A raised suspicions by releasing a photo showing Jo Se-ho and Choi embracing at a nightlife establishment.

In response, the agency emphasized, "Jo Se-ho is unrelated to Choi's business, and the allegations of receiving money or gifts are not true." The agency also stated regarding Mr. A's claims, "These are merely personal speculations and not facts," and said they are considering legal action for spreading false information and obstructing business.

Jo Se-ho's decision to withdraw came after repeated demands for his departure on the broadcasters' viewer boards. The production team of KBS's "2 Days & 1 Night" respected Jo Se-ho's decision and announced that he will not participate in future recordings. The production team expressed, "We hope no one will be hurt by good intentions."
