Hyunseok, a member of the group CIX and an actor, successfully took on his first historical drama challenge by playing the lead role of Lee Kwon in his Japanese debut work, "The Youngest Son of the Yeonguijeong Family's First Love." This work was fully released in Japan on the 10th through the global short drama platform Kanta.

"The Youngest Son of the Yeonguijeong Family's First Love" is a fusion historical drama set in the Joseon Dynasty, where Hyunseok portrayed Lee Kwon, the youngest son of the Yeonguijeong family. Lee Kwon grew up without any lack but has a personality described as "strong outside, soft inside," carrying loneliness and wounds within. Hyunseok vividly depicted the character's deep inner emotions with delicate expressions, despite his seemingly indifferent exterior.

The drama depicts Lee Kwon promising marriage to the lifesaver who saved him but facing a crisis due to his family's schemes. Hyunseok expressed the crisis with calm yet profound emotional lines. He also enhanced the drama's immersion by portraying Lee Kwon's heartfelt pure love, striving to protect love amid family conflicts and the aftermath of conspiracies, through tender eyes, breathing, and a weighty tone.

This year, Hyunseok continued his acting activities by starring in the web drama "Probability of Meeting Romance on a Trip Season 3.5" and the TVING short original "Me, Myself and I." With this Japanese debut work, he expanded his range to the historical drama genre, establishing himself as a global acting idol.

Meanwhile, CIX, the group Hyunseok belongs to, successfully held their fifth solo concert "GO Together" last month in Seoul and Saitama Prefecture, Japan, and will continue the same performance in Osaka on the 14th of this month.
