Broadcaster Park Na-rae claimed to have resolved misunderstandings related to conflicts with her former managers, but the former managers denied this, and the controversy continues. On the 8th, Park Na-rae posted a statement on her social media (SNS) and announced the suspension of her broadcasting activities. She stated that she had resolved misunderstandings and distrust through face-to-face meetings with her former managers.
However, on the 9th, the former managers acknowledged in an interview with Channel A that there had been conversations with Park Na-rae but claimed they did not receive an apology and that no agreement was reached between the parties. They refuted Park Na-rae's claims by saying, "When we said, 'Haven't we endured a lot for a month? We can't do this anymore,' Park Na-rae said, 'Then let's sue.'" They also raised suspicions that the face-to-face meeting was held for the purpose of releasing the statement, saying, "It seems like an attempt to buy time and change public opinion by any means."
This controversy began when Park Na-rae's former managers filed for a provisional seizure of real estate at the Seoul Western District Court on the 3rd. They submitted a complaint claiming they suffered from special injury, verbal abuse, proxy prescriptions, and workplace harassment by Park Na-rae. On the 5th, they filed a complaint against Park Na-rae at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul for special injury, defamation by false facts, and violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, among others, and announced plans to file a lawsuit seeking damages worth 100 million won.
Park Na-rae's side has not commented on the former managers' claims. In her statement, Park Na-rae explained her reason for suspending broadcasting activities, saying, "As a comedian who brings laughter and joy, I thought I could no longer be a burden to the programs and my colleagues." She added, "In early November last year, two managers who were like family suddenly resigned, and until recently, there was no opportunity to talk with the parties involved, which led to accumulated misunderstandings."
The former managers expressed dissatisfaction not only because they did not receive an apology during the conversation with Park Na-rae but also because she mentioned lawsuits. They said, "It felt like she met me just to release a statement," doubting Park Na-rae's intentions.
Park Na-rae is also under suspicion of illegal medical procedures. She is accused of receiving illegal medical treatment from a person known as "Injection Aunt," Lee, who does not have a medical license. In relation to this, the police have launched an investigation into the allegations surrounding Park Na-rae.
Currently, the conflict between Park Na-rae and her former managers is escalating into a battle over the truth, with conflicting claims from both sides. Attention is focused on how this incident related to Park Na-rae's suspension of broadcasting activities will unfold in the future.
