Seventeen member Seungkwan took on his first solo variety show hosting since his debut. On December 11 at 7 p.m., he made his debut as an MC through the first episode of "Buseungkwan's Bibidibabidibu," released on the YouTube channel Ililchil. The program's title is derived from the magic spell in the classic animation "Cinderella," and it is structured around the concept of "MC Ppu" granting guests' wishes.
In the first broadcast, Seungkwan said, "I am deeply moved that so many staff members have devoted themselves to preparing this program, trusting only me. I am very excited." He added with humor, "Now I can finally attend the Baeksang Arts Awards and the Blue Dragon Series Awards, which present awards in the variety category," drawing laughter.
Seungkwan welcomed Stray Kids' Lee Know as his first guest. The two engaged in a comfortable, friendly conversation with quick back-and-forth exchanges. True to his nickname "K-pop Department Professor," Seungkwan demonstrated extensive knowledge of the industry and shared small struggles as a senior artist, creating a sense of empathy with Lee Know.
Additionally, Seungkwan attempted to make dessert for the guest but ended up receiving help, and his clumsy moments, such as showing competitive spirit while immersed in games, became entertaining highlights. At the end of the broadcast, Seungkwan said, "I think I was very nervous because it was the first episode. Even if I was a bit clumsy, please look kindly on it," hinting at his future activities.
Meanwhile, Seventeen, the group Seungkwan belongs to, is currently holding their "SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN JAPAN," a four-dome tour across Japan. They performed at Tokyo Dome on December 11 and met local fans again on the 12th. The tour will continue from the 20th to the 21st at Fukuoka PayPay Dome. Through this tour, Seventeen is solidifying their popularity in Japan.
