K-POP Festival at Japan's Tokyo National Stadium... 120,000 Fans Enthralled


KBS's '2025 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan' gathered 120,000 global fans at the National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. The event was held over two days, December 13 and 14, and marked the first K-POP concert held at Japan's largest venue, the National Stadium in Tokyo, making it highly significant.

The festival, hosted by Lee Jun-young and Jang Won-young, unfolded under the theme 'Golden Road.' Lee Jun-young drew enthusiastic responses from the audience with his witty remarks and steady hosting, while Jang Won-young showcased her prowess as the MC of the KBS year-end music festival for the fourth consecutive year with her skilled hosting. The two MCs elevated the atmosphere of the performance with their dazzling visuals, wearing a white suit and a white dress.

On the first day, December 13, ATEEZ, ITZY, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, NMIXX, BOY NEXT DOOR, RISE, EYELET, Kickflip, Hearts to Hearts, and IDIT took the stage. Lee Jun-young's solo performance and a special guest performance by Snow Man were also featured. Notably, ENHYPEN created a dramatic stage with songs like 'Blessed-Cursed' and 'Future Perfect,' while TOMORROW X TOGETHER elicited enthusiastic reactions from the audience with 'Beautiful Strangers,' 'Upside Down Kiss,' and 'Where do you go' from their Japanese full-length album.

On the second day, December 14, Yunho, Stray Kids, NiziU, IVE, ANTHEM, Psycus, Zerobaseone, TOURS, NCT WISH, NEXG, IZUNA, KIKI, and CORTIS performed. IVE delivered a flawless stage with 'REBEL HEART,' 'Dear, My feelings,' 'ATTITUDE,' and 'XOXZ,' while Stray Kids energized the National Stadium with 'CEREMONY,' 'COMPLEX,' 'TOP LINE,' and 'Do It.'

One of the highlights of the event was the special stage called the 'Golden Stage.' On the first day, RISE reinterpreted TVXQ's 'HUG,' and Hearts to Hearts performed Girls' Generation's 'Genie' with refreshing vocals and choreography. On the second day, IZUNA dominated the stage with Kara's 'Pretty Girl,' and CORTIS received a warm response from the audience with BTS's 'MiC Drop,' accompanied by sharp choreography.

Additionally, Youngjae, Jihoon, and Kyungmin of TOURS formed a unit dance group with Tomoya, Yuu, and Haru of NEXG, perfectly performing SEVENTEEN's 'Hit' and Stray Kids' 'Rock (樂).' Their breathless performances drew enthusiastic reactions from the audience.

As a special guest, Snow Man, a group beloved in Japan in celebration of the 60th anniversary of Korea-Japan diplomatic relations, attended. At the final moment of the concert, all performers took the stage together, sharing the moment with the audience and concluding the event with a spectacular fireworks show. The 120,000 attendees responded with light sticks and group chants, reaffirming the status of K-POP.

The '2025 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan' will be broadcast on KBS 2TV on the 30th at 8:30 PM. This event provided another opportunity to confirm the global popularity of K-POP and raised expectations for the future of K-POP.
