Jannabi wins with 435 votes in the 'Immortal Songs' Family Vocal Battle

The group sound band Jannabi won the final victory with "Seosi," sung together with vocalist Choi Jung-hoon, known as the third member, and his older brother Choi Jung-joon. They appeared on the 735th episode of "Immortal Songs" in the "2025 Year-End Special Family Vocal Competition," showcasing family love and outstanding talent. The broadcast took place on December 13, achieving a nationwide viewership rating of 6.6%.

A total of five teams participated in this competition: Park Nam-jung & STAYC's Sieun (father and daughter), Woody & Kim Sang-soo (brothers), Yoon Min-soo & Kim Kyung-ja (mother and son), Kan Mi-yeon & Hwang Ba-ul (married couple), and Jannabi & Choi Jung-joon (brothers). Each team presented a special stage based on family bonds. Notably, Choi Jung-joon has worked as Jannabi's manager for 12 years, and this stage marked his debut performance.

Choi Jung-joon shared the story of becoming Jannabi's manager, saying, "As a child, I thought it would be nice if my brother became the manager, so I talked about it." He was interning with dreams of becoming a journalist but explained how watching his younger brothers' performances led him to work with them. Jannabi achieved the milestone of being the first indie band to perform at the largest indoor venue in Korea, the KSPO Dome.

Regarding his decision to appear on "Immortal Songs," Choi Jung-joon said, "I wondered how I could repay this grace, so I made up my mind and came out," confessing that he couldn't sleep for a month after deciding to participate. He expressed gratitude, saying, "I still can't believe I'm here. Thank you for creating such good memories."

The final stage, where Jannabi and Choi Jung-joon performed Shin Sung-woo's "Seosi," created a touching moment. Choi Jung-hoon's emotionally rich vocals and Choi Jung-joon's high-level singing harmonized to deeply move the audience. The Jannabi & Choi Jung-joon team won the final victory with 435 votes, claiming the throne of the Family Vocal Competition.

Choi Jung-joon referred to Jannabi as "brothers I want to protect for life," and Choi Jung-hoon expressed affection, saying, "My brother is like Superman to me." Their brotherly love shone even brighter on stage.

Meanwhile, the "2025 Year-End Special Family Vocal Competition" created unforgettable memories and new emotions through music and performance with different families. The voices connected by blood and love were praised as deeper and stronger than any singing competition. After the broadcast, various reactions poured in on social media.

Jannabi will hold their year-end and New Year concert, "Night of Chorus 2026, The Party Anthem," in Seoul from December 27 to 28, and continue performances in Busan from January 3 to 4, 2026. They plan to build on this victory to continue more active activities.
