
Actor Go Jun revealed his shocking experience of partial paralysis during the filming of the movie "Tazza 2." On the 15th, on Channel A's variety show "Close Friends Documentary - Table for Four," Go Jun honestly shared his difficult past during a conversation with close friends Jo Jae-yoon and Lee Sang-joon.
Go Jun said, "The opportunity that came after 18 years of being unknown was 'Tazza 2,'" adding, "Partial paralysis occurred when two-thirds of the filming was completed." He emphasized that this period was a very important moment for him. However, an unexpected health problem arose during the filming. Go Jun explained, "I was so immersed in the role that my immunity dropped, and I got shingles. The shingles affected my brain, causing partial paralysis."
Afterwards, Go Jun said, "I visited seven hospitals for treatment, and six of them diagnosed me with 'you won't be able to act anymore,'" expressing his despair at the time. He recalled the difficult period, saying, "I heard the golden time was six months, but even after seven months, my condition did not improve."
During filming, Go Jun continued acting through extreme methods. He said, "The muscles on the paralyzed side began to move, so I created a skeletal structure with wire to act. During that process, I even bit my gums and bled." The production team adjusted the filming angles to accommodate his condition. Go Jun expressed gratitude, saying, "Thanks to the production team waiting and being considerate, I was able to finish the movie."
Go Jun devoted himself to recovery by receiving acupuncture treatment every day for two years and six months. He shared the news of his full recovery, saying, "I healed perfectly like a miracle." Afterwards, he actively continued his career by appearing in works such as "Misty" and "The Fiery Priest."
On the program, Park Kyung-lim said, "Go Jun's image is that of a sexy man, so I never imagined something like this would happen." In response, Go Jun added, "My personality changed after the illness. I keep wanting to make people laugh." Go Jun's sincere story deeply moved the viewers.
