
Singer Hwang Young-woong held his nationwide tour "Oppa is Back" on December 13 and 14 at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1, Hall 1, Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. Approximately 8,000 spectators visited the venue over the two days. Hwang Young-woong chose his signature song "Oppa is Back" as the opening number to mark the start of the performance. This song immediately captivated the audience with its lively rhythm in a newtro trot style.
During the concert, Hwang Young-woong performed various songs such as "Bluebird," "Sparks," "Mother's Home," "Hot Goodbye," "Between the End of Autumn," and "Knitted Clothes." His mid-low tones stood out especially in emotional songs like "Mother's Home" and "Knitted Clothes." It seemed he felt a special sentiment performing in Goyang, where he first settled when moving from his hometown Ulsan to Seoul.
In this concert, Hwang Young-woong strengthened communication with the audience by reading their stories and providing "Kind Translation" in a DJ concept. His strength lies in being a traditional trot singer who perfectly conveys the emotion of songs without vocal techniques like pitch bends or vocal embellishments. Hwang Young-woong extracts the essence of songs with a simple arrangement and faithfully adheres to basic vocal techniques, allowing him to cover various genres.
The Ilsan concert was attended not only by domestic fans but also by overseas fans from China and Southeast Asia. Around the venue, dozens of wrapping buses from all over the country gathered. Hwang Young-woong is currently on a nationwide tour and will continue with performances in Changwon on the 20th and Gwangju on the 27th. He will hold the finale concert in Busan in January 2026.
Meanwhile, the official fan cafe PARADISE of Hwang Young-woong surpassed 60,000 members as of December 9, recording 60,480 members. This figure reflects his popularity and shows that fan support and interest continue to grow. Hwang Young-woong plans to continue his active activities in the future.
