The BTS V Effect 'Explodes'... Japanese Beauty Brand Sales Surge 200%


BTS's V has positively influenced sales as the global ambassador for the Japanese beauty brand Yunth. The Japanese K-culture specialized media Korepo reported that sales increased by approximately 200% just one month after V was appointed as Yunth's global ambassador. Yunth selected V as their ambassador on October 29. The day after this news was announced, the stock price of Ai Robotics, Yunth's parent company, rose by 7.53%, reaching a record high. Ai Robotics stated, "Through collaboration with V, we will enhance brand awareness and strengthen our overseas market expansion strategy."

The sales increase effect for Yunth appeared immediately. In November, sales at Loft and Plaza, major offline variety stores in Japan, rose by about 200% compared to the average sales from March to October. The response at the Cosme Tokyo pop-up store was explosive as well. Pre-orders were fully booked as soon as they opened, and even during the period when entry was allowed without reservations, 200 to 300 people lined up daily in temperatures as low as minus 5 degrees Celsius. Early sellouts continued throughout the pop-up operation period.

Especially, the Yunth campaign video featuring V, released on November 5, became a decisive turning point. Immediately after the video was released, an unprecedented situation occurred where all products sold out in offline stores within a single day. Yunth issued an official apology for the stockout situation that exceeded their demand forecasts. This campaign was recorded as a case where a single piece of content had a widespread impact on distribution.

Online reactions to Yunth products were also very positive. On Japan's largest e-commerce platforms such as Rakuten, Amazon Japan, and Qoo10, Yunth products ranked first in sales volume. Mentions on social media increased 322 times compared to before V was appointed as ambassador. Mentions increased simultaneously in various languages including Japanese, English, and Korean, spreading global interest.

Currently, V is active as an ambassador for both the Korean beauty brand TIRTIR and the Japanese brand Yunth simultaneously. Both brands are conducting aggressive marketing targeting the global market, and V's name itself acts as brand power. V's ambassador activities prove his powerful influence in the Japanese beauty market.
