Actress Choi Ji-woo shared her thoughts on the box office showdown with her colleague Kwon Sang-woo. On December 18, a production briefing for the film Sugar was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Choi Ji-woo, Min Jin-woong, and Go Dong-ha attended the event. Director Choi Se-chun was absent due to personal reasons.

Choi Ji-woo expressed surprise about the overlapping release schedules with Kwon Sang-woo, saying, "Kwon Sang-woo and I are friends and neighbors, so we see each other often.
